The BeagleBone Black from beagleboard.org is a development board based on the AM335x Arm Cortex-A8 processor. This BeagleBone board is a single board computer (SBC) which can be used as a stand-alone computer or it can be embedded into a system.
This low-cost, open source, Linux-based computer board is ideal for electronics engineers and hobbyists.

BeagleBone Black vs. BeagleBone Black Wireless
The BeagleBone Black and the BeagleBone Black Wireless boards are very similar. The main difference is that the Wireless version has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, instead of the Ethernet LAN connection on the traditional board.
A monitor with HDMI input, a keyboard and a mouse will be required for stand-alone operation.
