Comparison with Fluke 117
Weight and Size
Both multimeters can offer the benefit of portability with these two models being lightweight and compact. Both of them have a weight of 550 g.
Maximum Voltage
Both of these multimeters have a maximum voltage of 600 V.
Battery
The battery life within these two models is vitally important, so they function for a long time. They are equipped with a 9 V alkaline battery, both of which can provide up too 400 hours of power without backlight.
Safety
Both models are also regarded as being excellent when it comes to safety. They have a CAT III safety rating.
Warranty
Regardless of the model that you choose, you have peace of mind since they are both backed by 1 years of warranty from the manufacturer.
Applications
This is a difference between the two models. The Fluke 115 is more for general testing and Fluke 117 is for more specialised testing. For many DIY enthusiasts, the 115 will suffice.
Note
For Calibrated Articles – Please note that accuracy is specified for 1 year after calibration, at operating temperatures of 18 °C to 28 °C, with relative humidity at 0 % to 95 %.
